Foresight Gaming

We develop, realize, and implement bespoke foresight games or adapt our existing foresight gaming approaches for our customers. Our approaches range from card-based tools and board games to scenario enactment techniques.

Future Disruptions Game

The Future Disruptions Game is a board game we piloted in 2016 with approximately 70 international experts. We and our customers have used this serious foresight game widely since, and there is a creative commons version of the game. Scenario Enactments

While “traditional” foresight approaches tend to favor discussion and thus a cognitive focus to anticipate and understand possible futures, the enactment approach enables participants to enact “living in” a possible future scenario, thereby anticipating and “experiencing” these future worlds more directly. Scenario enactments combine scenario techniques with tools from improvisational theatre and worldbuilding. We have worked with scenario enactments, e.g. for analyzing city futures or the future of employment, internationally and for public and private sector clients.

Foresight Capacity Building / Training and Coaching

We support our customers in building their foresight capacity, via trainings or via coaching them in projects we co-create/co-realize with them.

Foresight Processes and Research

We realize foresight processes to identify implications for action today, concerning strategy, policy or innovation implications. In these processes, we identify and analyse trends, map out future scenarios or realize Delphi studies.
